Summer Charts

This PDF file includes 7 charts that will help your summer with kids at home go much smoother!

Your purchase includes "filled" and blank versions of each chart as well as a link to a Canva template where you can create a FREE Canva account (if you don't already have one) and fill in these charts with your own information.

**I *HIGHLY* recommend editing your Canva documents on a desktop or laptop computer, not using the Canva app.**

Here is how I plan to use each chart:

1. Morning Steps: I print one of these for each kid, laminate, and write their name at the top. We keep these next to a dry-erase marker and my kids know they need to cross this list off before we do anything fun for the day. 

2. Menu & Schedule: In the summer my kids are constantly asking for snacks or wondering what we are eating for our next meal. I print and laminate this sheet and each night I write out a quick meal plan for the next day. It helps all of us to know when and what we are eating! 

3. Snack Ideas (2 Charts): These charts are there to help with the never-ending snack requests. One is a list of ideas for snacks that my kids like to eat, the other is a list of categories that allows me to say "pick a food from each category" so we can put a balanced snack together. Use the Canva template to fill these charts with snacks that work work in YOUR home! 

4. Reading Chart: The goal of this chart is to help my kids not lose any of the reading progress they have made over the school year. And, for my younger kids, to make sure we are reading together every day. This summer we are letting our kids earn money that can go towards school clothes or a fun new backpack at the end of the summer. 

5. The "I'm Bored" Chart: This one is pretty self-explanatory. If someone says "I'm Bored," I encourage them to pick something off the chart! 

6. Chore Chart: My kids have basic chores that they do each day. However, I like having this chart of "extra" chores they can do if they want to earn some extra money.
